Echoes from ...

  September 2004 blog archived[Sunday 16-October-2004 19:19 EST]

Once again, the AD/EX2K3 project took up a large chunk of my free time this month. Hence the less frequent updates to my blog. At this stage, I still can't promise that I'll update the site more frequently as things are still in "flux" at work.

On a positive note, I'm fiddling around with a CMS for the Infrastructure team so we can do some proper management of documentation, files etc. For those of you who are interested, I'm strongly leaning towards Xoops as my preferred CMS development tool. Indeed an ex-work colleague quizzed me on the same topic the other day and they're also looking at this as a platform of choice. Once i've got a handle on this, I'll put my future efforts into converting this site to use the same PHP/MySQL solution.

  August 2004 blog archived[Thursday 9-September-2004 22:31 EST]

It's been a hectic month with the Active Directory/Exchange 2003 migration project now in full swing (if you had any idea how long we've been waiting for the "go" signal from management you'd probably wonder if the show was ever going to get off the ground ... we sure as hell did!) Hopefully it will all be worth it when we finally reach the end of the tunnel and don't have to worry about anything of this scope for the next 3-4 years :)

Spring is also here, as evidenced by the unplugging and storing of electric blankets and heaters ... as well as the certainty that I'm going to have to start mowing the masoleum lawns again ...

  July 2004 blog archived[Friday 6-August-2004 00:09 EST]

Well another month has passed us by here at thé-crypt and we're heading into the tail end of winter. There's still been a viscious chill in the air over the last few days, however I can now almost make it home in time to catch some sunlight before dinner time and I don't need to turn the heat pump on for as long each evening. Roll on spring ...

  June 2004 blog archived[Saturday 3-July-2004 14:55 EST]

Yet another month's worth of blog entries has passed into these hallowed halls. Beats me why I keep doing this as I still can't find this site on Google!

  May 2004 blog archived[Wednesday 9-June-2004 09:09 EST]

As it's a rather gloomy day outside, and I'm waiting for this mailbox move to complete, I've taken the liberty of archiving off another month of blog entries.

  April 2004 blog archived[Sunday 2-May-2004 22:22 EST]

I've archived off April's blog entries to minimize load times on the main page again. Now into the third month of blogging and I'm still making entries! Sad ...

  March 2004 blog archived[Tuesday 13-April-2004 10:00 EST]

Well we've been online now for over a month (a remarkable achievement in itself if you ask me!) As such, I've archived off the March blog entries to this section. You can peruse these old entries by clicking on the temporary link in the side-bar (you may notice a few of these temporary links scattered around the place as I'm in the process of tweaking the "look and feel" of thé-crypt at the moment.)

  Ominous silence[Sunday 14-March-2004 13:01 EST]

When the voices from the crypt dull over time to a faint whisper, the lingering echoes of these shift to this cavernous chamber.

Which is just a bizarre way of saying that this is the archive for the Blog section of thé-crypt.

Nothing to see here at the moment ... move along.
